New Internal Audit Student Profile: James Chotiyanonta, St. John’s University
James Chotiyanonta of St. John’s University says that as an accounting major, he was always asked whether he wanted to take the tax or audit route. However, after researching nontraditional options, he discovered that internal audit aligns with his entrepreneurial aspirations to help businesses understand their issues and reach their full potential. Participation in the IAEP program and attendance at the IAEP Conference provided James with exposure to an unparalleled network of internal audit professionals and allowed him to really understand the profession itself. He encourages internal audit students and professionals to stay ahead of the curve by showing up, networking, and keeping an open mind.
