New Internal Audit Student Profile: Caleb Braughton, The University of Texas at Dallas
Caleb Braughton is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting at The University of Texas at Dallas. He is confident a career in internal audit will allow him to stay engaged while continually learning and adding value. He credits the UTD IAEP program with helping him to secure three internships; complete all three CIA exam parts; build a large network of peers and professionals; and gain knowledge of internal audit, IT audit, GRC, fraud examination, and data analytics. Caleb’s advice for aspiring internal auditors is to “Network, network, network!” as this provides the perfect practice for a key job requirement — quickly building rapport with auditees.
