IIA Releases New Practice Guide on Auditing Grants

Public sector organizations are facing increased pressure to deliver on legislative and regulatory mandates requiring the delivery of public services to citizens. This has led to increased outsourcing supported, in part, by grant funding. The IIA’s new practice guide, “Auditing Grants in the Public Sector,” assists internal auditors in understanding:

• Critical risks related to grant management and administration.
• Good practices and strategies to address common risks.
• The internal auditor’s role in supporting the process.
