IIA Releases New Global Perspectives and Insights Report

IIA Releases New Global Perspectives and Insights Report

Internal audit talent management has become increasingly complex in the world of rapidly developing technology and ever-dwindling budgets. Identifying the right mix of skill sets and finding top talent who possess them is only one part of the equation. Creating a culture and developing a recruitment and retention package that speaks to a candidate’s evolving priorities can be a moving target.

The new report, Global Perspectives and Insights: Talent Management, discusses the key factors driving modern-day challenges in this area, including technology advancements and tech-based risks. Beyond identifying the challenges themselves, it offers strategies to ensure that organizations are receiving complete and consistent feedback from all applicable parties as to how talent needs are changing and evolving because of the challenges.

Equally important, the report looks at the issue from the employee’s perspective. In an environment where organizations are constantly being pressured to tighten budgets, it is often impossible for employers to pay what top talent is demanding. The report explores what priorities, beyond money, drive a candidate’s decision-making process. It highlights where demographics come into play in terms of motivators and where the priorities seem to be consistent across the board. All this information is aimed at providing the reader with an informed evaluation of what a talent management strategy should entail in today’s volatile talent environment.
