IIA-certified Individuals Need to Report 2021 CPEs by 31 December

The IIA understands the importance of continued professional development, which is why we’ve made online training a very viable, virtual reality for earning required CPEs. Choose from OnDemand courses available 24/7, the IIA Webinar Playback Library, and livestreaming conferences.

IIA-certified individuals must report 40 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits earned in support of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) credential, and 20 hours for specialty certifications, including the Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), and Qualification in Internal Audit Leadership (QIAL).

To help with the CPE requirements, including two in ethics, The IIA launched new Certificate Programs, Financial Services and IT Certificate Program and The IIA’s Core Curriculum Self-Study Program.

IIA-certified individuals must report credits earned by 31 December 2021, unless the certification itself was earned in 2021. IIA members should check with their local affiliate for CPE reporting guidelines and pricing. CPE reporting fees vary globally based on membership status.
