Internal audit and operational teams are sometimes perceived as two sides of a fence. Auditing brings additional work and recommendations that may not always seem feasible. Auditors, on the other hand, are sometimes met with resistance and limited openness. However, both sides pursue very similar goals: fewer errors and surprises, more efficient processes, and better decisions.

During the webinar, speakers will present this relationship from two perspectives – internal audit and operational activities.

Using four real-world case studies, they will demonstrate how collaboration can create tangible value – from shared Gemba walks and using audit observations to justify staffing needs and investments, to transferring best practices between locations and mutual learning between auditors and operational teams.

Participants will also learn practical ways to better understand operational realities, constructively challenge existing solutions, engage audit early, and treat findings as an opportunity for improvement rather than simply a problem to be solved.
