Since 1973, the Sawyer\u2019s publication has been a mission-critical resource for internal audit professionals around the globe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ms-rteElement-P\">In his bequest, Larry Sawyer, often called \u201cthe father of modern internal auditing,\u201d indicated that the royalties from the sale of <em>Sawyer\u2019s Internal Auditing<\/em> be invested back into the profession through the Internal Audit Foundation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ms-rteElement-P\">With the support of the Sawyer family, it is with great pleasure that in alignment with his wishes and the release of the seventh edition, the Internal Audit Foundation introduces the Larry Sawyer Educators\u2019 Symposium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ms-rteElement-P\">The symposium, scheduled for <strong>Sunday, 7 July<\/strong>, from 8:00 a.m.\u20135:00 p.m. in Anaheim, California, will be held in conjunction with The Institute of Internal Auditors\u2019 2019 International Conference.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ms-rteElement-P\">The <strong>Call for Papers\/Proposals<\/strong> is now open, with the Internal Audit Foundation seeking submissions of recent research and proposals for future research to be presented and discussed during the symposium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ms-rteElement-P\"><a href=\"https:\/\/global.theiia.org\/iiarf\/Pages\/Larry-Sawyer-Educators-Symposium.aspx\">Learn more and submit your proposal.<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In January 2019, the Internal Audit Foundation launched Sawyer\u2019s Internal Auditing, 7th Edition.
