ESG embedding: are you ready?\u00a0A\u00a0call for Boards, Risk Managers and Internal Auditors<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In November 2022, The European Confederation of Directors Associations (ecoDa), European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) and Federation of European Risk Management Associations\u00a0(FERMA) issued a paper \u201eESG embedding: are you ready? a call for Boards, Risk Managers and Internal Auditors\u201c. Also, in November 2022, European Council gave its final approval to the corporate sustainability reporting directive (CSRD). Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) and Lithuanian Internal Auditors Association (IIA Lithuania) invite Baltics board and audit committee members, risk officers and internal auditors to join the January 25, 2023 seminar on how the Board of Directors, the Risk Management and the Internal Audit need to cooperate in order to embed sustainability into organizations strategy and operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During this seminar, we will discuss:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00bb Governance models such as the Three Lines to foster cooperation among all functions and operations within a company, so that sustainability can be truly embedded in business operations and strategic sustainability-related objectives can be achieved.<\/p>\n

\u00bb The key priorities for the Boards, Risk Officers and Internal Auditors in preparing to comply with CSRD requirements.<\/p>\n

The seminar will be led by Xavier BEDORET and Anne-He\u0301le\u0300ne MONSELLATO<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Xavier BEDORET<\/strong>\u00a0is a governance consultant, board director, and teacher in audit, risk management and control.<\/p>\n

With his experience as a statutory auditor, financial controller, and chairman, Xavier assists boards and audit committees in their improvement process. He leads training courses and conferences in schools and professional associations in the fields of audit, risk and control. He is the Belgian ambassador for INSEAD\u2019s director training program. He is a member of the IFA (Paris) and ACCIF (London) audit committee chairs\u2019 club. He is a co-founder of BoardCompanions, an association acting in the not-for-profit sector.<\/p>\n

Xavier BEDORET is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of CENERGY HOLDINGS (Pipes and Cables, Euronext), Director and Member of the Audit Committee of VIOHALCO (Steel, Aluminum and Copper, Euronext), Chairman of the Board of Directors of INTERNATIONAL TRADE (Financing, Brussels). He is the general manager of Governeo, a consultancy firm (www.governeo.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Anne-He\u0301le\u0300ne MONSELLATO<\/strong> is an Independent Corporate Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of two companies dual-listed in Europe and in the US: Euronav, a Belgian tanker company, since 2015, and Genfit, a French biopharmaceutical company, since 2017.<\/p>\n

Anne-He\u0301le\u0300ne is an active member of the French National Association of Directors, of ECODA, and served on the Consultative Working Group of the ESMA Corporate Reporting Standing Committee (2019-2020). In addition, she is the Vice President and Treasurer of the Mona Bismarck American Center for Art and Culture, a U.S.\u00a0private\u00a0foundation based in New York.<\/p>\n

From 2005 till 2013, Anne-He\u0301le\u0300ne MONSELLATO served as a Partner with EY. During her time at EY, she gained extensive experience in cross border listing transactions with the U.S. She is a Certified Public Accountant in France since 2008 and graduated from EM Lyon in 1990 with a degree in Business Management.<\/p>\n
